A Montreal institution! We go for poutine, steamies (steamed hot dog, if you were wondering) and other greasy food because let's face it, sometimes, that is all you want and all that matters. Generous poutine with gravely hot gravy, thick brown fries accompanied with cheese curds that makes you squeek over for more. Lots of variety for toppings. Our fav: anything sausage and ground beef. Love their steamy. Comes hot and moist but sausage is still firm and not in a wet bun. Steamie fun fact: "All dressed" = mustard, relish, onions, coleslaw (no ketchup!) "All dressed ketchup" = all-dressed + ketchup

Don't get me wrong - I saw the appeals, and I enjoyed the meal, but I think the flavours of the food get a bit monotone over time, even in the late-night setting (I got the steak sandwich & the chop poutine with smoked meats & hotdogs I think). Very standard Montreal-style diner fast food. The fries got a bit too dried, too (I still believe la banquise has the best poutine; call me basic, sure)

We had hot dogs, pepperoni poutine, smoked meat sandwich and a sub sandwich. The sub sandwich took forever forever forever to come - the waitress apologized twice for the delay - so I wouldn’t recommend ordering - it’s just a big smoked meat sandwich anyway. The smoke meat sandwich is deceptively small - the bread is like a fig leaf on the meat. Eat one for lunch and you don’t need dinner. The meat was delicious and tender. Recommend. The pepperoini poutine was really good. Very generous portions.

Greenspot is a true Montreal classic. Open since 1947, it has that old-school Quebecois diner vibe that instantly makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time in the best way. The decor, the booths, even the menu it’s all wonderfully nostalgic. We came for the experience and left full and happy. The poutine hit the spot (crispy fries, proper cheese curds, and rich gravy), and the smoked meat sandwich was tender, flavorful, and piled high. Easily one of the best things we tried. The steamed hot dogs were great too, exactly what you want from a place like this. Portions are generous and prices are super reasonable. Definitely worth the stop if you’re into classic diners, comfort food, or just want a taste of old Montreal. A little piece of local history that still delivers.

Great example of a local casse-croûte. The place is clean and more inviting than your typical late night food joint. Service is quick. I can't comment on all their food, but their poutine is one of the best in town. Dark flavorful gravy, good cheese ratio, solid fries. The base poutine is solid, but the more loaded ones are where Greenspot shines. A Montreal institution, don't hesitate to visit.

A must go place for poutine-lovers. Many options for toppings on a poutine. Gravy is a pleasant level of salty and portion sizes are generous! I was quite full from just the petit size. Curds weren't very squeaky but they tasty good at least! It's a cute diner inside that has done well in keeping it's classic aesthetic in good condition. Our server was nice and attentive!

If you wanna go back to the 80s or 90s, this is the place, I guess the food tastes like the 80-90s too since there is no flavour. The vibe is nice and the staff are nice as well. The food is 6/10.

Best dive resto around. Want eggs at 1am? You got it. Poutine for breakfast? Sure thing. Love the pickles here, always get a plate. Atmosphere is retro but calm. Great music, better staff!
